Q. How long do Accounts last?
A. Accounts last until you have used up all your credits (see above) and are not time dependent.
Q. Do I have to use all my credits in one go?
A. No, once you have an active Account, you can log on as many times as you like and download items/reply to Find-a-Friend messages until you have used up all your credits (see above).
Q. Once I have used all my credits, how do I renew may account and get more?
A. Click the green Log On button (top left) and log on. When you have successfully logged on, click on the 'Add/More Credits' link in the 'You have Logged On' window. If you accidentally close this window, click the green Log On button (top left) to reopen it.
NB. You should add credits to your existing account rather than open a brand new account with a different email address. By adding credits to your existing account we can track which items you have used and ensure you do not pay for the same item twice. (To change your account email address Click here and follow the instructions.)

Q. I am an Account holder, how do I found out how many credits I have left?
A. Click the green Log On button (top left) and Log On. The subsequent window details how many credits you purchased, how many you have used and how many you have left.
Q. Does viewing a walk count as a download/credit?
A. If you open any of the Account Holders Only Content (see above) and look at it on the screen then it counts as 1 download/credit.
We provide a rich summary of each walk (including a summary of the route, walk length, ascent, time, and grade) that you can view before downloading the walk. This provides you with all the information you need for you to decide whether to pay for it or not.
Once you click on the Get Walk (or Get GPS) icon and you are logged on, it is registered as a download/one less credit against your Account.
Q. Does downloading the same walk twice to my computer or mobile phone count as two credits?
A. No, unless you download any of the Account Holders Only Content (see above) to your desktop/laptop computer AND your mobile phone.
For example: If you download c100 The Newlands Horseshoe from Hawes End, c101 Pillar and Little Scoat Fell from Wasdale Head and then c100 The Newlands Horseshoe from Hawes End again by mistake this is only counted as 2 credits in total. However, if you then download c100 The Newlands Horseshoe from Hawes End to your mobile phone you will use another credit. NB. This can be easily avoided by emailing the walk to your mobile or transferring it via WiFi.
Our walks are continually being updated with user feedback to account for changing conditions on the ground. Our system allows you to use the very latest version of each walk without having to pay for it multiple times.
